Highways Performance Space and Gallery

Highways Performance Space, located at 1651 18th Street in Santa Monica, is a 100-seat, flexible black box performance space that includes a sprung marley floor suitable for both performance and dance. Highways is a wheel chair accessible facility with parking lots and street parking.

Public programming is offered year-round, nearly every day of the week. Regular office hours are 10 am to 6 PM, with performances typically offered Thursdays through Sundays at 8:30 p.m.

Sound package (5 day rental includes package):
Mackie 1202 mixer (8 working channels), QSC 1400 Power amp 300W, Yamaha S3115HT Speakers, 5 disc cd player, 2 cardioid Mics, misc. mic cables, 2 mic stands (1 boom), 2 music stands

Video (5 day rental includes package):
Additional per day rental (Included in 5 day rental): Epson 7450 Powerlite Projector 1000 lumens

Booth: Located approximately 10’ above the floor, open air.

Required Highways Staff (5 day rental includes a portion of tech):
Space rental requires hiring of at least one contracted Highways Production Staff, one Master Electrician and one House Manager. Use of box office available with one contracted Highways Box Office Staff. Inquire for rates. Non-profit organizations negotiable.

The space includes full-width black duvetyn curtains hung on a draw cord traveler that opens to reveal a white wall (wide configuration only). Two moveable 8’ wide duvetyn wings are also available.
